The Melias Photography studio

Hello and welcome to the new Melias HQ.

I think in honesty we’ve been waiting quite a few years to create this space to work with clients and it feels sooo good!

Everything has been thought about from the calming scent of woodland herbs as you walk in, to the hand picked earthy mugs you can drink your favourite cuppa out of.

The studio is based at the top of a renovated fabric mill in the West Yorkshire town of Halifax, and as much as we have created a more modern and relaxed atmosphere here, you will be welcomed in with our down to earth and friendly Yorkshire manner.

Our studio is currently used for both Brand and Lifestyle shoots for either products or people such as headshots, and also for our ‘Honest portraits’

In the future we are making great plans to welcome more of you here (COVID allowing) and are excited to bring our Photography mentoring to life running workshops to teach both Lost in the light photography course for beginners and Lighthouse coaching here.

Even if you are not local to us, but like our way of working and our style, we would love to hear from you and work out a way we can remotely shoot your products and send them back to you once we having completed the work. We like to think nothing is impossible and we will always try our best to work along with you to create something with your own vision in mind. This is something we have done many times for clients in the past.

So here is a small part of our studio, the comfy bit without all the big lights and technical gear! Although we do have those and can work creatively with studio lighting and natural light. We can help to advise you on what we feel would work to create your own aesthetic.
