Family portraits - Charlotte story part two - Film

In our last post we were talking about taking family portraits and that we had photographed Charlotte and her beautiful children in digital and in film.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the digital files, the tones, the movement and the moments in between that are captured in a split second.

But just take a look at these film photographs and see how they make you feel in contrast.

Do you notice anything different? Do they give you all the feels? or is it the other way around for you?

It’s such a personal business capturing people in their vulnerable moments and it’s so very subjective.

Feel very lucky that we are able to shoot with both and create two different sets of images for the family to look back on in years to come.

Thanks to Charlotte for her really kind words -

‘Wow the film shots are incredible!!! It makes me never want a digital photo ever again!!!

They are so beautiful! And the children are captured so perfectly!

Thank you so so much I just love them!

next time I’m doing 100% film!!!

You have no idea how special these are to me - I will cherish them always!’

Can’t think of a better response to a job we wholeheartedly love to do.
